Rectory Wood.
Owned and maintained by the fantastic Forest of Marston Vale (Registered Charity No.1069229), Rectory Wood Park was their first site used to create a new woodland on. 15 years later, it is a thriving area of woodland trails, ponds, and wildlife.
Our routes meander through Rectory Wood, passing the historic Marston Thrift, which dates back to before the Doomsday book, and is both Local Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest

We have two events, a 5KM fun run open to all, and a 10KM race, both with these benefits
Easy to follow route
Our routes are fully sign posted and marshalled for your safety, and most importantly, your enjoyment
Traffic Free
Taking place in Rectory Wood means there's the route is not only beautiful, but completely traffic free!
Free Parking
We'd love for everyone to walk or cycle to the event, but we also understand that's not always possible.
Finisher's Medal
Every runner who finishes the 5K M & 10KM events will receive a finisher's medal, to brag about on #MedalMonday

Challenging Course
There’s plenty of courses touted as easy, flat & PB friendly… Run Rectory Wood isn’t that! It’s hilly, uneven, and probably muddy – but hey, nothing worth having comes easy!

Legacy Hill climb
1 Mile of uphill awesomeness. It may be pretty damn tough, but the feeling of making it to the top and receiving your medal is worth it! Oh, and if you’re quick, there’s a prize waiting for you, too!

Wildlife
In a world of concrete jungles, it’s nice to get out in to the country side, catch some fresh air, and hopefully spot some of the diverse wildlife we have in the park.

Fantastic Views
Who doesn’t like a good view? Luckily the Start / Finish area is on the top of a hill, surrounded by views of the entire Marston Vale area.
